Collective impact and results based accountability

No single organisation alone is responsible for any major social problem and therefore no single organisation can solve the problem alone! Large-scale social change comes from better cross-sector coordination rather than isolated interventions. This is the basis for collective impact, where you bring together the strengths of individuals and organisations to work on something people are passionate about changing.

To the noagroup, collective impact is the next iteration of our work. To really make a difference, the whole system, all those who influence or are influenced by what happens, needs to engage: NGO’s, Government, Businesses and Community working together around a common agenda using collective efforts for impact.

We have been working with groups on the skills needed to successfully collaborate using their strengths to advance a common agenda.  And the Results Based Accountability framework where measurement, actually knowing the effect of your efforts, is not just central to the collective effort but often the motivator to keep going.
