Adaptive Leadership

To meet the complex challenges our communities, organisations and teams face, contemporary leaders must be robust. They need to hone a precise set of knowledge, skills, attitudes and aspirations, to develop and maintain positive and productive workplaces, communities and regions. Leadership for NOW is not a position but an activity and the role of NOW leaders is to motivate others to tackle the things that really matter.

The noagroup uses the Adaptive Leadership Model of the Kansas Leadership Centre where learners set an agenda relevant to their individual needs and their organisation or community’s aspirations. They learn to:

·       Diagnose the situation focusing on both technical work and adaptive challenges;

·       Manage self using the Four Rooms of Change® and experimenting beyond the comfort zone;

·       Energise others, working with the whole system and sub-groups within;

·       Intervene skillfully to raise the heat, make conscious choices and give the work to those who should do it.

These skills often need to be learned. We know anyone can lead, anytime, anywhere. To a community or organisation this is about capacity building. The noagroup can help build leadership so you can successfully respond to opportunities that help you reach your potential.
